If you are a returning participant, you can choose to participate in the Leadership Tier. When you register for Summer Institute, select the "Graduate" option if you will be completing the Graduate Certificate in Digital Literacy. Then send email to Jonathan Friesem (yonty@uri.edu) to inform us that you will be particpating in the Leadership Track.

Institute Tier 2 Digging Deeper Purpose

Tier 2 Learning Products

These sessions are designed to build understanding of specific collaboration and facilitation techniques while learning how to lead with face-to-face and digital tools.  Digging deeper sessions will focus on:

·       Eight-Step Process for Leading Change

·       Tools for Facilitating Collaboration

·       Appreciative Inquiry

During the week, you will gain hands-on practice in facilitation and work with others to design a robust change-implementation plan to deploy your vision for integrating digital literacy into your world of work. Your plan will include a contextualized vision and a series of action steps to engage your colleagues in activities to achieve this vision.

OPTIONAL: You may earn graduate credit for the Summer Institute Tier 2 by enrolling in EDC 586: Leading with Digital Literacy.  To earn graduate credit, additional assignments before and after the institute are required, and EDC 531 (Tier 1) is required as a pre-requisite course.
