Mark Davis

Mark Davis is a reading specialist at Barrington High School, Barrington, Rhode Island. His roles in Barrington Public Schools included District Literacy Coordinator, Assessment Coordinator, and Intervention Coordinator. He received his undergraduate degree fromBowling Green State University (BGSU) and stayed on to complete a Master of Education in Reading. During this time, he worked at the Martha Gesling Weber Reading Center as a clinician and graduate assistant to the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at BGSU. 

In 2003, he was recognized for an Outstanding Graduate Proposal by the American Reading Forum and was a member of the ASCD Emerging Leaders Class of 2009. Mark has presented at national conferences including those sponsored by the ASCD, International Literacy Association, Learning Forward, Learning First Alliance, American Reading Forum, and numerous regional workshops.  

Mark currently serves as board member of the Rhode Island ASCD state affiliate.  His professional development and experience demonstrate leadership with an emphasis on teaching with technology, visualization, graphic design, and multimedia integration. Mark Davis is a doctoral student in the Feinstein Fellows program with the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College.
